It is always difficult finding a coffee on a weekend morning in this area of cottage country so it was amazing to find out that this well stocked, versatil, little grocery store is now serving coffee and on Fridays and Saturdays really good samosas. I stopped in here on a bike ride and ordered a cup of coffee, which was, given this is not a specialty coffee shop, a really good cup of coffee. I also tried the samosas and was really pleased, especially when they were combined with the excellent dipping sauce provided. This store has recently changed ownership and the new owners seem extremely confident, friendly, and are keeping the store well stocked with grocery items appropriate to the cottage community. This is an excellent store for the Woodland Beach community and I am glad to see that it is increasing in its takeout food options
The guy gives me back a quarter with a smile when I give him a 20 for a 19.35$ purchase....it's principal, ya I caught it and did not feel like losing my shit that day because I was in a good mood. they already add more to every product, it's disgusting. I ll go the extra mile to Walmart, Karma.
Service and selection has suffered greatly with new owners. No longer greeted when I come in the door, less and less selection of ready to serve alcohol. When I mentioned the low stock I just got a look. I used to go out of my way to support this local business, it seems they don’t care about the locals and want quick and easy money. Quite frankly owners don’t seem to care as much as the previous ones. It’s too bad.
Great store!! Amazing service… Hemant and Sudha are such nice people. I lost my wallet at the store and they kept it safe for a week!! Really appreciated them returning it safely.
WOWW! I can’t even begin to express all the new changes to the store, from the cheerful and high energy staff, to the fresh coats of paint on the exterior building. I have been coming to this location for several years now and I always feel like family here. The location is incredible, just steps away from the water and easily accessible via walking and car. HUGEEE selection of spirits, beers, ciders and even craft brews! I was thoroughly impressed with the vast selection and freshly stocked shelves. I had the incredible opportunity to meet the new owners and I can already tell they will take TINY FAMILY FOOD MART to new heights. Keep up the great work and I look forward to visiting again soon! Should have been named BIG Family Food Mart. The customer service and big hearts of the new owners is well appreciated and super refreshing!! If you found my review helpful, please don’t forget to add a thumbs up. Thank you, for your business
The store is very handy being walking distance from most of the cottages in Woodland Beach. The owners are friendly and the store has everything you'd want from a corner store, including Kawartha ice cream. The LCBO/Beer Store combo is really handy and opening hours are very reasonable.
I used to go here all the time when the old family ran it. Such a great atmosphere and Bonnie and her family always made everyone feel welcome. Now a group of people from the city have taken over, raised prices, and for some reason sell Indian food at the counter. Unfortunately this great place has now become a quiet and awkward place to visit. Nobody greets you anymore and the accents are very difficult to understand.
